Pledge 1% Boston
Pledge 1% Boston is the regional initiative of the global Pledge 1% movement, which catalyzes startups and other innovation economy players to make supporting their communities integral to what they do. By pledging a small portion of their future success today, companies can have an enormous impact.
Individuals and companies may pledge 1% equity of their company for the benefit of Greater Boston—or anywhere in the country or the world. If you are an entrepreneur, founder, investor or general supporter of connecting innovation economy stakeholders with local change, learn more and join us!
Globally, over 6,000 companies in over 150 countries have already pledged 1% to nonprofit causes and programs, and dozens have made the pledge locally in Boston.
Pledge 1% Boston is an initiative powered by both the Boston Foundation and TUGG.
Who is the Boston Foundation?
As Greater Boston’s community foundation, the Boston Foundation devotes its resources to building and sustaining a vital, prosperous city and region, where justice and opportunity are extended to everyone. In everything they do, the Boston Foundation seeks to broaden participation, foster collaboration and heal racial, ethnic and community divisions in Greater Boston.
Who is TUGG?
TUGG (Technology Underwriting Greater Good) is the nonprofit arm of Boston’s tech community. The organization engages and connects tech entrepreneurs and their companies with the most innovative social enterprises serving under-resourced youth in Greater Boston. In addition to its community engagement platform, TUGG is one of the only funders of experimental youth-focused social enterprises in Boston.
